My experience with DHL has been unbelievably upsetting and mishandled from start to finish. What was supposed to be a deeply personal and joyful surprise for our family — sharing that we are expecting our first child — was completely ruined due to DHL’s failures, delays, and lack of care.
For nearly two weeks, our package was held in Germany with no delivery, despite repeated promises that someone would call us back daily with updates. Those calls either never came or provided no real answers. We spent countless hours trying to get information while being passed around between departments and receiving conflicting explanations. To make matters worse, DHL required us to explicitly disclose the contents of the package in order to move forward with delivery. We had to explain that the package contained two mugs and ultrasound photos inside a card — the very surprise announcement we had carefully planned for our family. Instead of handling that information discreetly, those details were emailed directly to my mother-in-law before the package even arrived at her front door, completely destroying the moment and surprise we can never get back.
The situation then escalated further with threats that our package could be destroyed if we did not comply with ongoing requests, all while DHL could not manage to do something as basic as return a phone call or provide consistent communication. The entire experience has felt careless, invasive, emotionally distressing, and shockingly unprofessional. What should have been one of the happiest moments of our lives became a stressful and heartbreaking experience because of DHL’s repeated failures in communication, customer service, and basic human sensitivity.

Jadyn and Joe went above and beyond for me. I switched my package to pick up and it caused my package to be picked up the next day. I needed it that item immediately and Jadyn got on the phone to find the driver so I could meet them. I really appreciate these ladies for going above and beyond. They had amazing customer service which is hard to come by. Thank you once again Ladies.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly deserves to be recognized.
Over the course of one incredibly stressful week, my family and I spoke with nearly 150 employees across various DHL offices and departments trying to locate my wedding outfit, which had been delayed and routed between airports for weeks. At one point, it genuinely felt like my once-in-a-lifetime dress might never make it to me.
Amid all of this, Jay was the one person who completely changed the experience.
From the moment she got involved, she brought a level of care, urgency, and accountability that we had not seen before. She was consistently responsive, kept us updated, and most importantly, took real ownership of the situation. Jay went far above and beyond her role. She stayed after work, worked through the night, and remained fully committed to resolving my case.
Out of the ~150 people we interacted with, Jay was the only one who truly earned our trust.
Thanks to her persistence and dedication, my wedding outfit finally made it to me in time. What could have been a heartbreaking situation turned into one of immense gratitude because of her.
Jay is an incredible asset to DHL, and I sincerely hope her efforts are recognized. Thank you for going above and beyond during such an important moment in my life.
