I went to the UPS store at 11 AM on July 5 where I encountered a long curly haired employee at the front desk named Josh. He was instantly condescendingly said we don’t take FedEx packages here, “darlin” When I asked him to stop speaking to me in such a manner, instead of apologizing, instead of redirecting his behavior, he literally said, did you just sass me? Then became even more hostile and condescending and said it’s his14th day straight of working, and that I’ve probably never known work like that in my life. Literally yelling this to me as I’m now over at the self serve counter printing two Amazon return labels. What does that have to do with anything? Is THAT his excuse for his poor behavior? If so, he’s clearly overworked and in need of customer service training. I turned back to him as I was leaving and said in the same tone that he used with me, have a good day, darlin, and of course, he flipped out. Speak to others how you want to be spoken to, especially when you’re getting paid to do it!

I visited The UPS Store #5519 on Spring Hill Drive today around 5:45 PM, and unfortunately my experience with an employee named Sarah was extremely disappointing.
I came in to ship a package to Puerto Rico and politely asked for pricing information. Before even checking anything, Sara immediately responded with, “Everything going to Puerto Rico is expensive,” in a dismissive tone. During the entire interaction, she never once looked at me while speaking.
When she stated that Puerto Rico was “international,” I simply responded something along the lines of, “Well, Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory.” I wasn’t arguing or trying to make a big issue out of it. It was just a casual comment. Her only response was a very dismissive “um, okay,” without any effort to clarify or communicate professionally.
At that point, I requested to speak with a manager and was told, again with attitude, “She’s not here.” I then asked if someone else could help me, and Sarah acted irritated by the request.
Thankfully, a male employee with long curly hair and glasses stepped in and completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain that while UPS internally classifies Puerto Rico similarly to international shipping for pricing purposes, Puerto Rico is still a U.S. territory. That simple explanation and professionalism could have avoided the entire issue from the beginning.
More importantly, he treated me with respect. He carefully explained both UPS and USPS options, answered all my questions patiently, and gave me confidence that my fragile package, a pair of expensive glasses, would be handled properly. I ultimately chose to ship through UPS specifically because of HIM and his customer service.
Before leaving, I even told Sarah, “That is how a customer should be treated.” She simply laughed and still would not even look at me.
Unfortunately, Sarah’s behavior left a sour impression from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and unwelcome the entire time. Basic courtesy and professionalism cost nothing.
Moving forward, if Sarah is the employee working the counter, I will absolutely take my business elsewhere. I also plan on contacting the owner directly, who I was told is Alexus Gatherzcole, because this situation could have been completely avoided with simple respect and customer service.

We have been using UPS for almost a year now everyday and we will go out of our way to use this location. Jorden, Staci and destiny are always so helpful and make sure everyone knows they matter. They go out of their way everytime to help us with anything we need help with and I’ve witnessed them treat everyone else the same. They truly are Amazing and I can’t brag about them enough. They deserve the recognition. Thank you for always being awesome. We appreciate you 3 you make this store so enjoyable to go to.

I am absolutely disgusted with what I saw/heard today. I went in to this UPS store for the first time today, as my normal UPS store was burned down. I went to do some returns at the self-serve Amazon return station. While I was there, An older woman walked in, and I’m not exactly sure what she needed help with, but the young man with long, curly, brown hair was helping her at the front. He told her whatever her service was, was $3. She had stated that she felt that was overpriced and “highway robbery”, And instead of using good customer service skills, which I thought you needed to work out a place like this, he proceeded to get sassy. He stated “ Well, if you think that’s Highway robbery, we should be talking to Trump because he made everything overpriced. Probably not the best decision.” She had mentioned nothing political or along the lines of ANYTHING that warranted that kind of response. He also said it loud enough so everybody else in the building could hear, which, as a conservative, I was offended and he’s lucky I didn’t say anything. Nowhere near your workspace do you need to bring your political views. This young man then turned around after the woman left, and began high-fiving his coworkers (who was a woman with a buzz cut and gauges I believe) who were cheering for his response and talking bad about her. This behavior from your workers was absolutely despicable.
