I want to genuinely thank Primo for leaving this dispenser out of order for days at a time. I’d grown used to relying on these refill stations for my drinking water, and the repeated downtime — with no apparent urgency to fix it — was the push I needed to rethink the whole arrangement.
So I bought my own under-sink reverse osmosis system. Now I have clean, filtered water on demand, any time I want it, without driving anywhere, without hauling jugs, and without wondering whether the machine will be working when I show up. No more “out of service” signs, no more waiting on someone to service a unit that apparently isn’t a priority.
In a roundabout way, the unreliability did me a favor. I’m now completely independent of these dispensers, and the water tastes better and costs less in the long run. If the goal was to keep customers dependent on the refill model, the extended outages accomplished the opposite — at least for me.
