  Just got done closing on a house, and we used the first american title. They were amazing. Tracy Lowe was our rep, and she made this a very smooth and pleasant experience. She always answered the phone and answered all of our questions. 10/10 would recommend using them and ask for Tracy. She is the best.

  My personal experience with First American Title Insurance Company was unbelievable (in a bad way). We submitted our signed and executed contract on January 10, 2022. On the portal a new transaction was opened the following day. We submitted all requirements and questionnaire diligently. We wanted to ensure we did our part and if there was a delay if wasn’t on our end. Everything seem to go so smoothly. So smoothly we were ready to close early… or so we thought. Title company realized that the land survey was not completed when we tried to close so that delayed it. So then they informed us that they were waiting on the report for closing, which was finally received on the day we are supposed to close 10 minutes before noon. Our actual scheduled closing date February 14, 2022 (didn’t know this was and actual holiday where they don’t answer phone calls or emails). Numerous calls and emails from my team with no response. They delayed our closing date yet again. Then my realtor called us and informed us that we will close 0930 the next morning because no one was able to do it since it’s Valentine’s Day and they are short staffed due to COVID (I wish I were kidding). My whole point of this is that I was never notified or contacted during this process except by my broker and realtor. Seems like everyone was ready to close except the First American Title. Effective communication is key in any business and organization. This location lack this skill and courtesy. I’m a 13 yeas service-connected Army Veteran and I have never experience this much unresponsiveness by any business or organization. My husband and I are first time homebuyers here in Seminole county if I had known in advance about this title company I would have requested a different one. Do not use them if you have a choice. I say again do not use them! Take it from our experience and the other negative reviews.
