Special Thank You to Ms. Amy and Ms. Kassie I would like to send a special thank you to two knowledgeable, professional young ladies at the USPS office on Veterans Memorial Blvd.—Ms. Amy and Ms. Kassie. My day started with me trying to send a package to my son, who is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Italy. I first went to UPS, where I was told by the clerk that shipping the package would cost approximately $460 because it was considered an international shipment. She suggested that I try the Post Office instead, where she estimated it might cost around $160. Following her advice, I went to the Post Office. When I arrived, I met Ms. Amy and Ms. Kassie. I asked them approximately how much it would cost to send my package to my son's Air Force base in Italy. Ms. Amy asked for the ZIP Code, entered it into the system, and informed me that the cost would be about $19 for standard shipping and $20 for Priority Mail. I was shocked by the huge difference in price compared to what I had been quoted elsewhere. Ms. Amy recommended Priority Mail for the best shipping service and also took the time to assist me with completing the customs form correctly so that my package would not be returned. She even told me to come directly back to her once I finished the paperwork rather than waiting in line again because she already knew my situation and what I needed. Ms. Kassie also explained that because of the relationship between the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. military, I was able to receive a significant shipping advantage since the package was being sent to a U.S. military base. These two ladies were extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They understood exactly what I needed as a customer and went above and beyond to help me. Their outstanding customer service turned what started as a stressful situation into a positive experience. Thank you, Ms. Amy and Ms. Kassie, for all that you do. Your dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help are greatly appreciated.
