Absolutely unacceptable service and one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. The post office changed all of the mailboxes and locks without providing any notice to residents. When I went to the post office to get the new key to MY mailbox, I was told the delivery driver had it. Despite that, no attempt was made to actually deliver the key, leaving me locked out of my own mailbox. To make matters worse, I am expecting an urgent delivery that has already been marked as delivered and placed inside the mailbox that I cannot access because the post office failed to provide me with the key. So the post office delivered my mail to a mailbox they effectively made inaccessible to me. When I brought this issue to the supervisor’s attention, there was no urgency, no accountability, and no meaningful attempt to help resolve the situation. I was simply told to wait until the next day. That response is completely unacceptable when someone is being denied access to their own mail because of a problem created by the post office. Experiences like this make it easy to understand why so many people have lost confidence in the Postal Service. Seeing this level of poor communication, lack of planning, and indifference firsthand, I now better understand why many view the post office as a failing institution. When customers cannot access mail that has been marked as delivered and management shows little interest in fixing the problem, it reflects a serious breakdown in customer service and accountability. The entire situation was avoidable with basic communication and competence. Instead, I was left without access to my own mail and without anyone willing to take responsibility for fixing it. One star is more than this experience deserves.

I had a very disappointing experience with USPS regarding a package I sent using next-day delivery service. When I mailed the package at another USPS location, the employee clearly explained to me that if the package was not delivered the next day, I would be eligible for a refund due to the service guarantee. Unfortunately, the package was not delivered the next day. It actually took three days to arrive. I went to this USPS location to ask about the process, and I spoke with an employee named Jacob. From the beginning, his attitude was very unprofessional and dismissive. I understand that policies can vary and that employees may not always have immediate solutions, but customer service and respect should still matter. Instead of trying to help or explain the process properly, he acted like he did not care and made me feel like I was bothering him for asking questions about a service I paid for. I even asked to speak with a manager, and it was very clear that he was not happy about it. Thankfully, another employee stepped in and completely changed the experience. She was extremely patient, professional, and helpful while assisting multiple customers at the same time. She explained that different USPS locations may handle certain refund procedures differently, which honestly was surprising because customers expect the same standards and policies across USPS locations. The difference in attitude between the two employees was huge. One person made the situation stressful and frustrating, while the other handled it with professionalism and kindness. I believe customer service matters, especially when customers are paying for guaranteed services. I hope USPS works on creating more consistency in both policy communication and customer treatment.
