I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the experience I had at this USPS location today.
I went to the Alafaya location to pick up a package after receiving both an email and a text message confirming that it was available for pickup. When I spoke with an employee named Maritza, she immediately told me that my package was not there. When I explained that I had received a text confirmation, she responded rudely, saying, “We don’t send texts, honey.” I then showed her the actual text message I had received.
Instead of taking the time to properly check for my package, she insisted that it was not there and sent me to another USPS location about 15 minutes away. I drove all the way there, only to be told that my package was NOT at that location and that I needed to return to the Alafaya office because it should be there.
So I drove all the way back to Alafaya. This time, a very kind gentleman started helping me and actually went to look for my package. When Maritza saw that I had returned, she made a comment along the lines of, “I can’t believe they sent you back saying your package is here,” and even told him not to look for it because she was convinced it was not there.
Thankfully, I was able to speak with the manager, who was very kind, professional, and helpful. And guess what? She FOUND MY PACKAGE. It had been at the Alafaya location the entire time.
What makes this experience so frustrating is that I wasted my time and gas driving to another location and back simply because an employee refused to properly check for a package that was there all along. Even after I returned, Maritza continued insisting that it was not there and discouraged another employee from even looking for it.
I completely understand that mistakes happen, but the dismissive and rude attitude was unnecessary. Customer service should involve actually trying to help the customer before sending them somewhere else.
I sincerely appreciate the manager and the gentleman who helped me, because they were both professional and kind. Unfortunately, my interaction with Maritza made what should have been a simple package pickup an unnecessarily frustrating experience.

There’s this one lady who works there who is the rudest person I have ever encountered. She makes going there such a hassle that I actually pay extra to return things through UPS instead. I honestly don’t understand how she still has a job. She is rude to everyone and belittles people for not knowing something, even when they are elderly. She should be fired. There are so many complaints about her, and I genuinely don’t understand how she is still working there.

I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this USPS location. We came in simply asking where we could pick up a package that hadn’t been delivered to our home. Instead of trying to help us, the employee we spoke with was incredibly condescending and made us feel stupid for even asking.
She repeatedly said things like, “as I just explained,” while rolling her eyes and speaking down to us when we were only trying to understand what we needed to do. There was absolutely no reason for us to be treated that way over a simple question.
Customer-facing employees should be willing to help people without making them feel embarrassed or uncomfortable for asking for clarification. I left genuinely upset by how we were spoken to. A little patience and basic kindness would have made this a completely different experience.

What a terrible experience at this post office on a late morning. Had an appointment for passports. An appointment mind you. After waiting 45 mins I asked about how much longer and was told that quote "it is like a doctor's office, some times you have to wait"
Mind you I was in scrubs and stepped away from seeing patinets to do this appointment. Extremely rude, and getting a passport and going to see the Dr is not even in the same realm of reasoning. But fine, after of almost an hour after waiting, the sir came to the desk to assist. Very rude, very short, and bothered by our frustrations of waiting and being rudely spoken too. He had zero care that he was late or had any explanation. He acted as if I were the problem inconveniencing him. I called to speak to the manager Regina to let her know what type of things are happening under her supervision. Regina was extremely professional and told me that the matter would be addressed and apologized to me for my time being wasted and getting an attitude unnecessarily. Regina was a great supervisor whom seemed to care and wanted to make it right. The gentleman that assisted that day then gave me a recommendation to go to another place for passport service if i quote un-quote "don't want to wait"...sir I waited over an hour with all due respect. Well I walked in to THE SPOT at UCF campus(which was recommended to me by the post office), and man what an experience. The Spot had me in and out in 20 mins for the exact same thing, oh and without an appointment. Please save yourself any frustration and attitude from workers by going to the SPOT. Great Custer service there. 2 stars given only for the Supervisor Regina who i spoke to otherwise it would be a -3 stars for me. You have been warned if you read this and still attempt to do your passport here. The spot is another 10 mins up the road and worth the drive. It will ultimately save you more time. Have a great day and be safe out there.
