We had an excellent mail carrier for six years, Jeremy, who was reliable, professional, and consistent. He never lost or misdelivered mail, and he always scanned my business packages at the door when picking them up. Unfortunately, my current carrier has created repeated problems for my small business. She refuses to scan packages at pickup and instead waits until she arrives back at the post office. This creates a serious issue: if a package goes missing before it is scanned, I have no proof that it was ever collected from my home. One package weighing nearly 30 pounds and worth more than $500 disappeared after being picked up. I have Ring camera footage showing the carrier retrieving it, but because it was never scanned, the insurance claim was denied. That loss was significant for my business. I have tried to be respectful and cooperative, including providing gifts and gift cards in the past, but the situation has only become more difficult. On one occasion, packages were left behind. When I called out to the carrier, she looked at me through her mirror and drove away. Management has been pleasant when I have raised these concerns, but nothing has changed. My packages are still not scanned at pickup, leaving my business vulnerable to losses with no clear accountability. As a small business owner of 14 years, I rely on dependable package pickup. I am asking for basic professionalism, proper scanning procedures, and a carrier who understands that these packages represent real income and real consequences for local businesses.

How is it possible that they receive an empty box and then tell the package owner that whatever was inside is lost—and they don't know where? Then, when you ask what to do, they direct you to a website to file a claim, but it’s completely useless because it doesn't give you the option to enter the date, or it enters it. And if you call, they never answer. incorrectly.

Problem after Problem with Andrea. Today I had to get in my car and go find her once again to ask for my packages. She was on the phone as usual talking loudly, and put them in the neighbor's box. She told me she put them in yet another neighbors box, so I had to remind her of the house number next door. She literally didn't know the numbers go up by 10 each house. She then told me she was talking to her husband because blah blah blah, always personal drama, always excuses. She never scans packages and we've had conversations about that too. It's like she's working at Burger King instead of taking her government job delivering personal mail to citizens seriously. I usually have to interrupt her phone calls just to ask about missing mail or packages not scanned. Very frustrating. And she always tries to make me feel guilty for her shortcomings. I don't of course. Maybe if she was responsible or accountable and serious about her job, we wouldn't keep having these conversations. And she's always sure to tell me that she told her fellow employee Sylvia about each issue. I'm not sure why or that it matters. She often drives up and down the street fast after already delivering mail, retrieving incorrect mail from boxes and putting it into correct boxes. Because other people are experiencing the same problem. Am I doing something wrong, expecting delivery of my mail and packages, and for her to scan outgoing packages?
