June 3, 2026, approximately 2:45 PM I visited the post office and interacted with an employee named Loreda. What should have been a routine mailing transaction turned into one of the most bizarre customer service experiences I have ever had. I asked a simple question about which envelope would be best for official paperwork. Instead of answering, Loreda replied, “It says right on the envelope.” She then returned to the desk and appeared to be focused on her phone. Throughout nearly the entire interaction, she had her phone in her hand and appeared to be texting or otherwise using it. When my fiancé and I were called to the counter, she took the envelope from the desk without greeting us and continued holding her phone. She asked the standard fragile and perishable questions, which my fiancé answered with a simple “nope.” Without any apparent reason, the interaction immediately became hostile. Loreda physically threw my envelope towards the back and told us we could “take our attitudes to Tavares,” despite neither of us raising our voices or being disrespectful. She then accused us of only “acting right now that there were people around” and stated that “the cameras already got you.” When I asked what exactly the cameras had supposedly captured, she would not provide an explanation. We had done nothing more than ask a question and answer the required mailing questions. The situation became even more concerning when she told us not to return to the post office and to take our mail to Tavares instead. When I asked if she was the owner of the post office, she responded, “No, I’m not white enough to own this place.” At that point, the interaction had gone far beyond poor customer service. The comments, accusations, and overall behavior were completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and confusing. What began as a simple question about an envelope escalated into being accused of misconduct, told not to return, and subjected to an unrelated racial comment. I believe this incident should be reviewed, including any available security footage, as it does not reflect acceptable customer service standards.

Very disappointing experience at this location. While waiting in line, I watched a clerk speak harshly and impatiently to an older woman who was simply trying to explain what she needed. She was interrupted and not given the time or respect to finish. When I calmly tried to support her, the clerk turned her frustration toward me—raising her voice and repeatedly telling me to step back, even though I was standing appropriately in line. When it was my turn, her tone made it clear she would refuse service if I didn’t stay quiet. I asked for a manager and was vaguely pointed to a corner with no real assistance. What’s most concerning is that after leaving, another customer told me she was already familiar with this employee and that this behavior is ongoing. A quick look at reviews shows this is not an isolated incident. No customer—especially an older individual—should be treated this way. This location seriously needs to address this pattern of behavior.
