- W1WDW 1971Jul 7, 20261.0Not surprising this post office is the perfect example of what exists in hodunk Lake Alfred. They close at 4:30 M-F and have no accommodations for a drop box that can accommodate a USPS Priority package. Lake Alfred is behind the times by more than a half century and unless we get new people in to actually run the local township and move it into 2026, hodunk it will remain.

I realized while at the post office trying to file a lost package claim, that the package had been sent to the wrong address by the company. I just wanted to say thank you to the man at the post office, whose name I didn’t catch, who called me and also helped me when I came in looking for help. He was very kind throughout the process and extremely helpful despite this not being his fault or even something he could help with. Thank you sir.
