- CLCharles LeverettApr 16, 20261.0I purchased Allstate Protection Plan for a Kent bicycle purchased on 9/28/2025. When the back wheel stopped turning, 2 gears stopped working, and back wheel spoke broke under normal riding, I contacted Allstate. They refused to cover since it was not beyond a year since the bike was purchased. Kent refused to cover anything claiming the defects are common under normal conditions. My issue with Allstate is that when you buy the insurance at the point of sale there is no warning that they won't help you. Also, the Kent warrantee is only for 6-months so the representative telling me that the warrantee only starts after the year is wrong. Bottom line, don't sell a product that you don't stand behind. My issues are more with Walmart and Kent International but the $32 used to purchase the extended warrantee cannot be ignored.

- RZRich ZipfAug 18, 20221.0I took out a short term disability policy several years ago with American Heritage Life Insurance company A.K.A. Allstate. I had a hernia operation June 3rd 2022 and they told me I'm no longer eligible to receive $ as of July 3rd. My Dr. submitted all the necessary paperwork telling them I'm not able to lift more than 10 lbs. until Sept. 3rd. I told them its impossible to do my job since I'm a FedEx driver. They also requested paperwork from my family physician who hadn't seen me since last year when I first went to him about my issue and referred me to the Dr. who did my surgery. Allstate used his notes as another reason to deny me further benefits! Perfect example of an insurance company always willing to take your money but not able to pay out when expected. A bunch of crooks !

I canceled a policy and they still took a lump sum out of my checking account without warning and then they are making me wait 7 - 10 days to return my money. Please shop around and use a company that won't treat you like crap and profit from the interest that they earn on your wrongfully held money.
