Very poor customer service. The employee was rude, dismissive, and would not allow simple questions without making customers wait in the full line. Unprofessional attitude and an unpleasant experience overall.

Absolutely horrible experience at the Post Office 📬 Mercadito. Completely unprofessional staff and terrible customer service. We waited over 2 and a half hours because the passport employee, Jackie, decided to take an hour and a half lunch break while SEVEN families sat there waiting for assistance. My appointment was scheduled from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM. I arrived at 1:50 PM, and Jackie had already left before then, so there’s no possible way she left at 2:00 PM as claimed. Once she finally returned, she was extremely rude and refused to help us. When I questioned the situation, she responded with attitude saying, “Who are you to tell me how much time I can take for lunch?” Completely unacceptable behavior from someone working in customer service. The rest of the staff was also incompetent and did nothing to help the families waiting there. I will never return to this post office again and would not recommend this location to anyone needing passport services.

I have been trying to get help with a mailbox and lost keys for weeks unsuccessfully. They get my information, even spoke with supervisor Alex and no help. One staff member told to stand outside the condominium and wait for the mailman all day until he arrives 🤬 This is the kind of situation that occurs in government related services. Incredible!!!

I witnessed a very disappointing and disheartening situation at this post office today. A young mother arrived with her baby for a passport appointment scheduled at 10:45 AM. Although she arrived at 10:54 AM—clearly rushing and doing her best to make it—she was turned away by the employee (Jackie) without any willingness to help. The mother politely explained her situation and asked if she could still be seen, noting that the appointment window ran until 11:00 AM and that it would only take a few minutes. Despite this, the employee showed no empathy or flexibility and refused to assist her. I understand that appointments are scheduled for a reason, and that systems exist to keep things organized. In fact, USPS even advises customers to arrive early for appointments . However, there should still be room for basic human understanding especially when someone is only a few minutes late and is caring for a child. What stood out most was not the policy, but the lack of compassion. A small moment of kindness could have made a huge difference for that mother. I hope management takes this into consideration and emphasizes not only efficiency, but also customer care and empathy because both matter.
