- JSJewell SAug 12, 20261.0The worst post office location I’ve ever had to deal with. Unfortunately we got stuck with them when we moved to our new house. They consistently do not take the time to write pick up dates on slips left in mailbox, but expect customers to know that they mean to pick it up in 2-3 days (because even though it says they’re supposed to attempt redelivery, they NEVER DO). Since Feb I have had nonstop problems with receiving any packages coming though them. I don’t ever bother to send anything through them in fear it’ll be stolen or lost. I take my packages into lake county, to any location there for superior service. The drivers here are lazy and the ladies in the office are rude and condescending. They lack training & the care to do their jobs properly. Just excuse after excuse.

They do NOT reliably scan packages, I have 95 packages missing for five days Highly recommend getting a pick up with a scan sheet, or drop off at a CPU (contact postal unit). Deland post office workers will throw your shipments 10+ feet into the bins while you are standing at the counter watching. That sums up their attitude completely.

I've been having to ship a lot of books recently, and the employee I've been working with has been making sure I get media mail rate and has been so kind. Line usually moves pretty quick. Tbh most negative reviews are people just not knowing how the post office works. Or if you come in hot headed, don't expect smiles. Give kindness to get kindness. Post office is a privilege, not a right.
