  Omg what an absolute mess of how the front end is managed. They obviously don’t care if they stretch their employees thin. If the store is not capable of having the employees to ring transactions AND someone for Amazon returns then they need to not accept Amazon returns. When u arrived the Amazon line was 10-12 people deep and 4 people in the line to make purchases and they had ONE person going back and forth between the two lines. It is absolutely ridiculous to have to wait 15 plus mins because they don’t want to put someone extra here to handle the line. Also saw other employees randomly doing other things but ignoring the line. I have worked in retail and that is just crazy. @staplescorporate you need to make sure your stores get it together and have the staff. It is annoying to wait and wait just to have someone making a small purchase ultimately jump in front of you when you were here first.

  This is my local Staples, and I come here all the time for printing, Amazon returns, and other services. Yesterday was my first time ever buying balloons here, and it was a huge mistake. I waited about 40 minutes just to get six balloons. After arriving, I had to ask twice for someone to call an employee to help me. When someone finally came over, there was no greeting, just a rude attitude from the employee helping me. When I went to pay, I noticed some balloons were marked 99¢. I pointed them out, and instead of politely explaining the pricing, she said with an attitude, “Well, show me what you see.” After looking, she responded, “Those are storage bins, not the actual balloons. So what balloons do you want, sweety?” The way it was said came across as very condescending. To make matters worse, it took forever to inflate just six latex balloons, and they weren’t even filled properly. Within about 15 hours, they had already started deflating. Paying $20 for six latex balloons that didn’t even last a day is incredibly disappointing. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor customer service here. It often feels like the store is staffed by very young employees who have little customer service training and come across with poor attitudes. I usually have good experiences here for printing and returns, but after this experience, I definitely won’t be buying balloons from this location again.

  Today was just a simple day to return items or so I thought. The store is extremely inefficient when it comes to handling Amazon and UPS returns. I waited in line for over 30 minutes with only one cashier processing returns while three other employees stood behind the counter, one manager walked around doing nothing, and another person stayed in the back. When I arrived, one of the associates a young girl with a nose piercing was arguing with a customer and being openly disrespectful. The manager didn’t manage the situation but another young associate did. The return process was slow, disorganized, and frustrating. There were 22 people in line just to complete a simple return. The store layout also makes no sense: customers who needed to purchase items kept getting stuck in the return line because the signage and flow are poorly set up. This set up needs major revamping in staffing, training, and customer flow. On a positive note, the customers in line actually bonded with each other — talking, laughing, and getting to know one another. The shared frustration and confusion of the line situation which brought everyone together. This was the only bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant experience. Based on today’s visit, I’m giving this store one star for customer experience . I’m also hoping today was just a one off.
