I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with UPS. My package showed as “delivered,” but it never arrived at my home. When I contacted UPS, I was told the sender had to open a claim, even though I also filed one immediately because the package was missing.
I went in person to try to resolve the issue and waited in line like everyone else, only to be told at the counter, “there’s a claim—next person in line,” and essentially brushed off with no help or resolution. That was incredibly frustrating after making the effort to come in person.
The following day, I received an email with a completely different name and address attached to my tracking number. I responded immediately to correct it with my actual name and address. Shortly after, I received another email stating my claim was closed because I had “confirmed delivery,” which I never did.
I called again and was told someone would contact the delivery driver and I would receive a call back. I was promised a follow-up on Monday. It is now Tuesday, and I have heard nothing.
This package was a blow-up pool for my son’s 5th birthday, so this situation has been especially upsetting. We even went to the post office with our children thinking it may have been misdelivered there, but it was not.
Eventually, I had to contact the eBay seller, who provided a photo showing the package delivered to a house that is not mine. At this point, I’m left trying to resolve this through eBay for a refund, because I cannot get any real help from UPS.
It is extremely frustrating to be responsible for tracking down a misdelivered package after it has been marked “delivered” twice, with no accountability or resolution where it should land. Very disappointing experience overall.
