If you don't know your way around you'll never find it. Road going into where it's supposed to be, is closed by construction.

Nice people there and great service, I've never seen a USPS office that opens 7 days a week.

I appreciate that this location has extended hours. It’s very difficult working a full-time job and getting to other USPS locations that close before 5:00. During my recent trip, I discovered they closed the main entrance for paving. It’s well marked with orange signs coming off route 20, but only one sign coming from Route 75 that’s easily missed. Drew a quick map to help others.

☆☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at the USPS Windsor Locks, CT location during my children's passport appointment on July 12, 2026. Our appointment was scheduled for 10:30 a.m., and we arrived at 10:15. The post office remained locked until 10:30 because the employee, Bilal, told us he had overslept. There was no apology. The day before, another USPS employee had already reviewed and verified all of our passport paperwork. Despite that, Bilal questioned nearly every document, repeatedly asking, "What is this?" He referred to my children as "this one," "that one," and "the 17-year-old" and "the 15-year-old" instead of addressing them respectfully. He also questioned whether I was their parent simply because we have different last names, even though he had my ID and both of my children's birth certificates. The appointment was disorganized. He stamped the wrong paperwork, mixed up my children's checks and documents, removed staples to correct his mistakes, and ripped my son's original birth certificate. When I politely pointed out that he was mixing everything up, he became increasingly hostile. One of the most disturbing moments occurred while I was paying. When the customer satisfaction survey appeared on the payment screen, Bilal reached over and selected the highest rating himself before I had the chance to answer. That feedback belongs to the customer, not the employee. While helping other customers, I also observed him nearly send an international letter without sufficient postage until the customer questioned him. He even asked the customer to do the postage math for him instead of calculating it himself. By the end of my appointment, I left with very little confidence that my family's sensitive documents had been handled correctly. Beyond the mistakes, my children and I were treated in a manner that felt disrespectful and demeaning from beginning to end. I sincerely hope USPS management investigates this incident, reviews the security footage, and ensures this type of treatment does not happen to another family. Customers deserve professionalism, respect, and confidence when trusting USPS with important legal documents.
