- DHDebbie HollisJun 10, 20261.0Be careful mailing packages/ mail through this post office.The last week of May I dropped off an important package with my important information in it with the clerk at this post office. I inquired about a receipt due to my package stating free postage if mailed in the United states . The clerk indicated I would not receive a receipt unless I paid for postage. The clerk assured me that customers drops off packages all the time like this . Monday June 8th I received a spam call from a person living in west hartford stating my package was delivered to their home with their name and address on my package. The homeowner opened my package and located my name and telephone number and reached out to me. This is a huge mistake on this united state's postal service. The post office employees put a new label on my important package with all my impotant information in it and send it to a stranger . Clearly my package had the correct to and from information on it. There was no need to add a new label. I will never ever use this post office again to mail anything. A mistake like this cannot be overlooked
