  ​I read the reviews about the older gentleman's rudeness, but I decided to go anyway. As a retired professor, I am used to dealing with difficult people, so it doesn't bother me. While he wasn't outright rude, he was undeniably gruff, the kind of gruffness befitting someone completely unhappy with their life. ​Despite my being a UPS Store member for over 25 years, he couldn't find me in the system. He only asked for my phone number to verify my account, even though it is tied to my email address. Furthermore, I know different shipping rates apply depending on the delivery date, but no options were provided to me. ​Finally, at the end of my visit, I asked why my account hadn't appeared. He abruptly told me it was "in there now," despite never asking for my email or physical address to actually input the data. ​ ​It takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown; I hope he finds his.

  Giving three stars because the policies here seem to be applied inconsistently depending on who is working. I’ve been to this location many times and have always had my packages taped for me without an additional charge. Today, I was charged $2 just to have a package taped. It’s not about the $2—it’s the principle and the lack of consistency. My fiancé recently had a similar experience where he was told he had to purchase an entire roll of tape which cost him about $7. Meanwhile, a woman next to him had her package taped for her at no charge and was not required to purchase tape. Again it’s not about the money—it’s just the principle. I completely understand if there is a policy or fee for taping packages, but it should be clearly communicated and applied consistently to every customer.

  Highly highly recommend this Ups store, very nice and welcoming staff. Love coming here every time for my packages.

  A big thank you to Avery for making my visit so easy! I came in with a bunch of returns . . . he was patient, friendly and incredibly helpful. He made the whole process quick and stress-free. Awesome customer service!

  Randy and Nora at UPS store 6098 in Southbury CT are excellent! Quick, efficient service with a smile. While Nora was attending to me so courteously, I heard Randy with another customer with the same happy-to-help-you attitude. Southbury is lucky to have these kind people and convenient services.
