Utterly disappointed with the service and irresponsibility of DHL. I am supposed receive an international courier having foods made and sent by my mom by the end of Thursday, April 2, 2026 or atleast by Friday, April 3, 2026. As I have found the courier is delivered to DHL Norwalk facility - 12.08 PM Thursday, April 2, 2026. From Norwalk facility the destination address in Stamford, CT is hardly 10 miles. I saw DHL van/truck entering into my community today around 3PM afternoon and I did not receive my courier. Now because of Weekends, I think it'll be delivered on Monday evening. Because of the inadequate communication standards or delays or lack of responsibility or improper service procedures though the courier was delivered at DHL Norwalk, CT on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 12.08PM it is not handed to me, now I've to wait for that till Monday, April 6 (a delay of 4 calendar days). The courier flew from a country to another country in just 3 calendar days but you are holding it for 4 calendar days just to finish the drop off at destination - 10 miles far. I found customs charges were levied on it, I was not communicated either by email or phone call until I dig it deep. Immediately I tried to make the payment but I could not make it because the transaction is getting declined, I tried to make payment 4 times using my credit cards, my friend's credit card in the last 4 hours, still it is failing. In case of Custom charges/fees levied, I expect that it would be the responsibility of DHL team or at least the nearest store to make a phone call and inform us the situation immediately. Is this the standard procedures of ensuring the deliveries?
