  Avoid this location—predatory practices and toxic staff attitude. I am deeply disappointed by my experience at this UPS Store. After waiting in line, I was informed that they charge a fee just to tape a box closed. I have been to many shipping centers, and taping a package is standard courtesy; withholding it here feels entirely done by design to nickel-and-dime customers.The staff's initial apathy was frustrating, but their behavior when I returned was completely unacceptable. I initially walked out to go home and tape it myself, but decided to pay the fee to save the drive time. When I walked back in, the employees openly mocked the situation. One staff member stated, "They always come back," while the others gleefully agreed.Experiencing that level of schadenfreude from customer service workers is disgraceful. They clearly design this "taping fee" trap to exploit customers' time and then celebrate their frustration. Take your business elsewhere.

  Do you have a package, big, small, or in-between? The service here is 5 stars (3 stars for being friendly and professional). You can count on getting the service you need to have your package delivered to your recipient. I also had my most recent passport photo done here.

  Rude, staff not pleased when you use your packaging, felt like I was getting berated from the staff about every aspect of the package I wanted to ship. I've been a dedicated UPS customer for over a decade and shipped out of many UPS locations. Lessen learned, dont use the Dixwell UPS location unless you plan to use their supplies, their packaging staff, and all the methods they can squeeze every penny they can. Every customer there left aggravated. Staff lead spoke to all customers as they were children. Avoid Dixwell ave and Hamden. Go to Guilford for better and right the first time service. Corporate UPS, unless this store is a huge money maker, consider dropping the location. It is giving UPS a bad name.

  Mailed my package the wrong product. While I paid for UPS second day air, they forwarded my letter to USPS for standard Priority Mail. Ended up taking 13 days instead of 2, and could not do anything to cancel it.

  When I walked in, there was a line, but a helpful employee quickly stepped in. She asked if anyone was just dropping off and guided me straight to the kiosk. She even pressed the buttons for me so I didn't have to figure anything out myself!
