- AWAmy WangMay 7, 20261.0Tried to pickup a package for my supervisor and was told by a man with dark hair and a beard that the only way for me to do that was to present my paystub as proof of affiliation. I have never heard of this policy from any shipping company before so when I asked why this is the only method and why the original purchaser couldnt assign an authorized person to pickup, he said that even if the original purchaser picked up, they would also have to show their ID and paystub and even then it would be an exception, so he was really actually bending the rules. I asked why it was considered an exception and what the rules being bent were and he said that he shouldnt even be allowing anyone to pickup anyways since it's for a workplace address and the address for the workplace doesnt match the address on the drivers licenses. I asked if there were other options and he said "I just told you the option and it's to show me a paystub." Our paystubs don't show an address either but even with drivers license and work id, he said it didnt matter because "work ids are all the same and interchangeable" and that paystubs are the only valid proof of id and affiliation. When I asked if we could just have the package rerouted then, he said "you can try but it won't be easy and they probably won't do it". Incredibly unhelpful, arbitrary, and rude.
