- PSPenny S.Jun 24, 20261.0I've been an online seller for two decades. Dealing with the USPS system over lost and/or late deliveries is a large part of my job. As a whole, the USPS is a necessary evil and I deal daily with their inadequacies. But even based on an extremely low bar of expected performance, the Meriden, CT branch is shockingly incompetent. They are the worst branch I've had to deal with, scanning packages as 'closed commercial' so the carrier doesn't have to finish his route. Then once they decide not to deliver a package, it sits in their branch. No action whatsoever, it just sits. Their direct phone line is not answered ever. It rings for 30 seconds then disconnects. For three days I phoned 10-12 times per day, never an answer. Everyone in this branch needs to be let go and they need to hire people that understand how to work.
