- PBPaul BancroftDec 10, 20201.0I understand that the USPS is struggling financially and I understand that the holidays are a challenge for them, but that's not an excuse for lacking basic customer service. My tracked package was "Out For Delivery By 8:00 PM" yesterday. At 9:00 PM last night the status changed to "Ready For Pickup" at the Hebron Post Office. After 9:00 AM this morning the status was the same, so I drove to the post office. I walked in and was the only customer in the building. A USPS employee was standing at the counter putting stickers on something. I stood at the counter for a minute or two but he never acknowledged I was there - no hello or even eye contact. Then he looked up, said "I'll be right back", and walked away. When he finally returned I asked about my package. He looked for it, came back and said, "It might be in the truck. If it is, he'll deliver it today. We don't have time to look for it in the truck." I showed him the USPS website "Ready For Pickup" status and he said "Sometimes the scans don't mean what they say." I still don't have my package and got the distinct impression I was bothering him by walking in to pick it up like the USPS website told me to. So, another 1 star review. A "hello" and a "sorry about that" would've gone a long way.
