The new post master Marvin really went out of his way to have a happy customer. Had a problem (my fault) and he really dug into it and offered a great solution. Also, Mary is a ray of sunshine at this place. I have not really dealt with anyone else, but they all seem too be great people! And yes, lines are long, but they are severely understaffed, that's not the staffs fault, that do the best that can! Pavel

This might be the worst post office I have ever been to. I’ve lived in steamboat for years, and I have never been here one time without sitting in like for at least 20 minutes. The staff is nice, but the office is so egregiously understaffed, I always completely dread coming here. I came in here 15 minutes ago 3rd in line and I am still 3rd in line. HIRE MORE PEOPLE YOU NEED IT!

Friendly staff but ABYSMAL and INCOMPETENT service. Letters and packages sit in the Steamboat Springs post office for DAYS before they are actually delivered or mailed. Case in point: My wife mailed my Colorado primary election ballot to me in another state, where I was working for several weeks. To ensure it would arrive with plenty of time for me to complete the ballot and return it to the Steamboat elections office, my wife paid $13 for "Priority" Mail - theoretically this should take two business days. I tracked the package, beginning on June 11 when she dropped it at the Steamboat post office. My ballot sat untouched, somewhere in the bowels of the Steamboat post office, until JUNE 17 before any action appeared in the tracker, when it was finally shipped to Denver. Despite the Juneteenth holiday, it took only two additional days from Denver to Virginia, finally arriving to me on Saturday, June 19. It should not take EIGHT DAYS for expensive "priority mail" to cross the country, and mail should definitely not be sitting around the post office for 5-6 days before its forwarded to the next mail hub. It's now 8 days before Election Day. As I have no confidence in the Steamboat post office delivering my ballot on time, I'm returning it via UPS. Do better!

Just straight up lying about my address being incorrect. Just lazy and so unacceptable. I hope they get defunded.
