- RIRonald IndlerSep 29, 20261.0*ALERT* BE VERY CAREFUL AND ASK FOR AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT. I had a very concerning experience at this UPS location. I was charged more than $60 over what I later found to be the actual UPS shipping cost for my international shipment. When I paid, I was given a very unusual receipt that contained almost no information beyond a tracking number and the total amount charged. Considering this was an international shipment with insurance and customs declarations, I expected a detailed breakdown of the charges. After checking the UPS app, I noticed that the actual shipping cost appeared to be significantly less than what I had been charged. I returned to the store to ask about the discrepancy, and the attendant acknowledged that they had added an additional charge, explaining that they have to charge extra to cover the store’s rent. I understand that independently operated shipping locations may add service fees, but an additional $60+ without clearly disclosing or itemizing that charge is completely different. Customers should know exactly what they are being charged for before paying. I will be contacting UPS customer service to clarify the charges. My advice is to ask for a fully itemized receipt and verify the charges before leaving the store. Egregious behavior from both male and female staff members.
