- ARAlexandra Monique RodriguezSep 15, 20261.0Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Improper Handling and Damage to Military Photographs On September 5, 2026, I returned home and found a white envelope shoved into my mailbox and folded in half. The envelope clearly and visibly stated, “DO NOT BEND – PHOTOGRAPHY INSIDE.” Despite the clear handling instructions, the envelope was folded in half in order to fit inside the mailbox. This improper handling resulted in several of my son’s military photographs being creased and damaged. These photographs are not ordinary photographs. They are meaningful keepsakes documenting my son’s military service, and some of the damage is permanent. The damage could have been avoided if the envelope had been handled according to the instructions printed directly on it. I am requesting that this matter be investigated and that the person responsible for handling and delivering this item be reminded of the proper procedures for handling envelopes marked “DO NOT BEND.” I would also like information regarding whether I am eligible to file a claim or receive compensation for the damaged photographs. I have photographs of the envelope and the damaged photographs available as documentation of the condition in which the item was delivered. I respectfully request that this complaint be documented and that I receive a response regarding the outcome of the investigation and any available options for reimbursement or compensation.
