My 4 year old daughter saw kinetic sand packaged in a treasure chest on the shelves at the front. She picked it up to ask me if she could have it and the employee with short black hair reached over and snatched it out of her hand, put it back on the shelf, and told her not to touch it again (It was on the impulse buy shelves at check out, why can’t we buy it? I would have!) - The employee then leaned over to stare/glare at my daughter, looking her up and down the entire time we were checking out. My daughter stood there looking terrified, not moving a muscle because she was so scared. I told the employee she needed to stop, that she was making us uncomfortable. She was treating my daughter like some sort of criminal for picking up an TOY to add to our purchase. She’s a child, the target audience for that toy. I told her never mind on it all, she could keep everything because I wasn’t going to give Staples my money after that experience… I’ll do our school supply shopping on Amazon instead.
