Lost package. Tracking showed "delivered" but nothing arrived. Filed a claim. Took over two weeks for a response. Denied with no explanation. Second package arrived crushed — contents damaged. Staff at counter shrugged and said "not our problem." Lines are consistently long. Only one window open during busy times. For essential mail service, this location is unreliable at best. Use a different post office or private carrier if you can.

Chronic delays, long lines, and unhelpful staff
I've given this location multiple chances, but the Woodland Hills USPS continues to underperform at nearly every level.
The lines: No matter what time of day you go – morning, afternoon, or just before closing – expect to wait 20–40 minutes minimum. There are rarely enough windows open, even when the line stretches to the door.
Lost and delayed mail: I've had multiple packages marked "delivered" that showed up days later, or not at all. Tracking updates are inconsistent, and when something goes wrong, there's no accountability.
Customer service: The counter staff ranges from indifferent to outright rude. On my last visit, I asked a simple question about tracking a missing package and was given a one-word answer and waved aside. No effort to help, no empathy.
Hours and access: For a busy city like Woodland Hills, the limited hours and frequent lobby closures make it nearly impossible for anyone with a standard work schedule to get in and out efficiently.
I understand USPS is underfunded and overworked, but the issues at this specific location go beyond that – it's poor management and a complete lack of customer care. If you have the option, use the UPS Store or FedEx instead.

I was at the USPS location and witnessed a situation that really raised concerns about how certified mail is handled here.
A customer came in with a piece of Certified Mail with Return Receipt that had already been returned as undeliverable. They explained they had even handed it directly to the manager to be reprocessed—yet it was returned again the same way. You could tell this wasn’t a one-time mistake.
What made it more troubling was hearing others mention that certified mail sometimes just ends up in mailboxes without proper handling or signatures. If that’s happening, it defeats the entire purpose of using certified mail in the first place.
From an outside perspective, it looked disorganized and inconsistent. For a service that people rely on for important and legal documents, that’s a serious issue.

My experience with the USPS office has been extremely frustrating and raises serious concerns about how certified mail is being handled.
About five months ago, I sent a Certified Mail with Return Receipt to my property management company. It was returned to me as undeliverable. I then went to the post office and personally handed it to the manager, Alejandra, expecting the issue to be corrected. Unfortunately, it was returned again as undeliverable.
What makes this even more concerning is that neighbors have shown me examples where certified mail with return receipts were simply placed in their mailboxes instead of being properly handled and signed for. That inconsistency undermines the entire purpose of certified mail.
I have documentation of the returned mail, and the tracking number is 9414811898765475566659.
This situation reflects a breakdown in basic postal procedures. At a minimum, there needs to be accountability, consistency, and proper handling of certified mail. Right now, this location is failing on all three.

My experience at the USPS location in Woodland Hills has been consistently frustrating. The lines are always long, and the service is slow. Staff seem overwhelmed, and I’ve waited over 30 minutes just to pick up a package on multiple occasions.
When I needed help with a simple issue, the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. Basic services shouldn’t feel this difficult. I’d recommend going elsewhere if possible.
