- DTDan TempleJul 28, 20261.0When using their priority mail boxes make sure you understand that there are two different type boxes that look identical: Flat Rate boxes and By Weight boxes. I mailed two medium sized boxes; one was 9 lbs for $18 (by weight) and one was 5 lbs for $34 (flat rate). The worker couldn’t explain why the rate was different. I had to go to another PO for this simple explanation.

- NPNolan PanardoJul 1, 20251.0Have been a local in Tahoe City since I was born. I haven’t had a single package delivered without some sort of issue. I have lost around 200$ due to lost packages and I’m currently dealing with a similar situation. Here’s how it goes, you order a package and watch it being delivered successfully across the country with no issues. The second it arrives at the Tahoe City post office you get a notification saying the the delivery has failed. You decided to go to the post office in person to see what the issue might be. You wait in line for a minimum of 20 minutes along with many other individuals with the exact same issue. Once you are able to talk with the employee they are usually extremely rude and offer no ways to help you. I’ve received many excuses for why my delivery has failed. They claim it has to do with the PO BOX information not being included however I always include the PO BOX information and they still claim that it’s missing. Sometimes they just send you away with no explanation. Seriously the worst post office in the country. After the Covid pandemic their services have seriously tanked. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS POST OFFICE. IT IS USELESS. If you don’t take my word refer to the many other 1 star reviews claiming similar issues.
