- PMPritpal ManakSep 24, 20261.0I visited a USPS store yesterday for the first time to return a phone cover. I had packed it from home and brought the printed label but hadn't attached it yet. A woman around 35 to 40 years old at the center desk assisted me. I told her I was returning the item, and she scanned it and charged me 4 dollars. I didn't question the charge at the time. She then gave me cello tape to attach the label. As I was applying it, I realized she had actually sold me the tape and charged me for it. I had tape in my car and could have used that if she had informed me. I felt cheated and found this behavior unprofessional, especially since she did the same thing to the customer before me. It was her duty to inform me that I had to apply the label. Even if she didn't want to give me her open tape, she should have told me so I could have gotten the tape I already had in my car. Charging me four dollars for the tape without warning feels like cheating, and I found her reaction afterward, when she started laughing, very disrespectful. The boss should warn employees not to do this. If you are selling something, you must inform the customer first rather than forcing it on them. I apologize for my harsh words, but these employees need to be corrected.

The staff were helpful, kind, professional, and informative. The service was quick and efficient, and the lines flowed rather than becoming stationary and crowded.
