One of the worst post office trips ever in my 40 something life! I've had long waits and what not at a post office before but I have never had such an incompetent and rude window agents experience ever! First agent gave bad and limited direction when I asked politely. After filling out the form she gave me, standing in line again, she tells me I have to fill out more forms. (Seriously? she couldn't provide all of them at once when I asked politely?) So this is repeated two times (providing one direction at a time when asked for full direction, then giving me the stink eye for not knowing), when I'm now frustrated and asked for them to provide all directions so that I don't have to go back in line multiple times, the second agent takes me and helps me but takes her time on purpose. Keeping me standing at the window while she walks back and forth to the front and back office multiple times without doing anything. She literally locked the door at the front, which there was another agent closer to the door that could've/would've done it, then went to the back office to open and close a drawer to pick up nothing. Then she proceeds to scold me that I don't know the procedure of sending an international package and that it takes time and that I should've came in earlier. I told her I came in earlier but wasn't provided proper directions the first few times. She doesn't respond after that. I'm not an employee of the post office, of course I don't know how to do your job. As a customer, I did the proper thing by going up to the window to ask for directions on how to properly send my packages. After taking forever to complete the transaction and spending nearly $200, the second agent actually threw the papers at me. She did not hand it to me nor did she place the papers on the desk for me to pick up. She threw them at me. It is extra frustrating, knowing that they act like this because they know they are federal employees and won't be disciplined nor fired as long as they don't do anything illegal. I guess being rude and expecting their customers to do their job is not illegal.

I want to recognize Mei at the San Ramon Post Office for her consistently excellent customer service. Every time I’ve had a question or an issue, she’s been friendly, patient, and quick to offer practical solutions rather than just pointing me elsewhere. It’s clear she genuinely cares about helping customers, and that kind of service makes a real difference. San Ramon USPS is lucky to have her.
