- JKJonathan Kim4 days ago1.0Went here in the afternoon for a change-of-address issue for my wife and the woman who assisted was very unhelpful and inflexible. I believe her name is Karina (don’t remember if this is the correct spelling). We explained to her that the official USPS website does not allow for a hyphen in the first name box so we had to place a space in between when filling out the online form (even showed her in-person the website doesn’t allow the hyphen). The employee kept saying that the name filled out has to match the name on I.D. (which has a hyphen), to the specific character and that it didn’t matter what the website said. I asked her what she wanted me to do when the official website does not even allow it, and she was quick to say that I needed to come back when a supervisor was around because she couldn’t do anything. During our conversation, she even went to insinuate that my wife should remove the hyphen from her legal name so this is not an inconvenience for her. Like what? We offered to provide any other form of documentation/proof of previous address to verify that my wife is indeed the person, but she was inflexible and kept deferring saying that we need to come back when her supervisor was present. We did not appreciate her microaggression and left. Fortunately, we found out that the USPS Rancho PQ location was open till 4pm as well and the employee who helped us gave us no hard time and was helpful in completing our request. Please train your employee to do better with customer service.

Locking the drop box makes the experience a complete waste of time to take the dedicated driveway to find there are zero available drop boxes. Then exit the lane to the street and have to u-turns somewhere to enter the separate main entrance, park, and walk all the way past the whole building to the far entrance where the indoor mail drop is.
