  NOTE: if you drop off a pre-paid package or pick up any, you will be charged extra fees based on weight. You’ll also need to pay $11.00/hour for mandatory hotel parking. This cannot be comped. I literally just picked up 4 separate packages (all lightweight, clothing contained envelopes) and had to pay almost $50 in undisclosed pick-up fees alone PLUS +$11 in parking. UPS itself doesn’t add fees, but independent stores partnered with hotels or convention centers charge extra. So in essence, Hilton San Diego Bayfront will nickel-and-dim you twice. These prices aren’t listed on their official UPS website; it's only stated in-person. Is it legal? Yes, but also incredibly unethical and predatory. Avoid any hotel-affiliated ones (including 675 L St) and go to an independent store like 2020 Columbia St—this store is free and customer service is friendly.   UPS is taking advantage of locals and hotels guests charging hidden fees on drop offs and shipments. Make sure you only use traditional UPS stores or call ahead and ask.
