  I wish they had half star ratings then I can give them half of a star. This is an Amazon drop off point. First off, I don't do a lot of Amazon returns but when I do I prefer to go once and do all of my returns at one time. I will also step aside and let anyone waiting in line behind me go ahead and I will return to the end of the line if I see I'm holding people up. The staff here however are less than accommodating to people that have Amazon returns: more like downright HOSTILE. They have lied to me in the past about what Staples' policy is regarding Amazon returns; forcing me to go to other Staples locations to complete my returns. Contrary to this store's claims, the staff at both the Kearny Mesa and the Point Loma locations, informed me, that Staples does not have any Amazon return limits. The staff including the managers at this location claim that Staples does not allow more than 10 pieces per day for Amazon returns. That's counting the quantity of items, not the number of orders. If an item has two parts, that counts as two pieces. At one point they told me that because I had a large item, I could not return anything else because my item alone filled up one of their return boxes. On another occasion they closed the Amazon return counter about an hour and a half before closing time claiming they were understaffed. They used to issue a paper copy of the return receipt, but now they will not and will only allow you to take a screenshot of their handheld return devices screen. But, walk across the store and do a UPS return shipment and they will give you a printed receipt. How funny! Next time you visit, look around, the staff have nothing else to do except when they have to deal with people that have Amazon returns. This is the closest Staples store near me. I have to drive much further to the other locations. Every time I go here I dread having to do a return, but I won't be deterred by there intentional tactics to dissuade Amazon return customers. I have contacted Amazon in the past, so have others, but the situation at this store hasn't changed. Maybe this review will have an impact. I originally posted this review about a month ago on the "Staples Print & Marketing Services" of Google maps. Not aware that there is also a separate entry "Staples" on Google maps. However, it's the same place. The owner/manager responded with the same boilerplate as done for other negative reviews. I'll let you know if anything has improved. Also note, I don't have an opinion about the print and marketing services.

  We frequently use this Staples location for printing, and Carmen consistently delivers outstanding service. She greets my wife and me by name and ensures every print job is completed to our satisfaction. Watching her extend that same attentive care to every customer makes it clear why this location has earned our loyalty. Thank you!

  This Staples location is a lifesaver! The staff is super friendly and always willing to help find what I need. Plus, the selection is great for all my office supplies and printing needs.

  I would leave zero stars if I could and I will never set foot in this Staples again! I came there yesterday 04/20/2026 and the parking lot was practically empty, I went inside to send a fax and was not in there more than 5-10 minutes with the attendant guy, who at first didn’t seem friendly, coming over and helping me to send a fax, unfortunately the fax didn’t go through and when I got outside to my car it had been robbed of all of my packages, it felt weird like a set up and when I went back in the store distraught the attendant quickly informed me that there are NO SECURITY CAMERAS AT ALL and pretty much had no help he could offer me! To not have any cameras at all makes no sense at all and I’m sure the thief was aware there are no cameras which makes me wonder! So I left there feeling violated and unsafe and will never go there ever again!
