How much do 3D signs and dimensional lettering cost?
Your signage cost depends on several important factors: the size of your letters, the materials you select (for example, solid brass costs more than formed plastic), how complex your logo is, and whether you need illumination. At Express Signs, we accommodate various budgets and always provide a transparent, complimentary quote upfront before starting any work.
Can dimensional letters be used outdoors?
Yes, they can! We choose weather-resistant materials specifically for outdoor installations. Materials such as aluminum, acrylic, high-density urethane (HDU), and formed plastic are UV-resistant, waterproof, and built to endure the elements without fading, rusting, or cracking.
Can you illuminate 3D signs?
Yes, we can. Illuminating your 3D signs and dimensional lettering is an excellent way to maintain 24/7 visibility. We provide several lighting options using energy-efficient LEDs, including: Halo-lit (backlit), where light shines from behind the letters to create a glowing halo effect against the wall; face-lit, where the front of the letters are illuminated, typically through translucent acrylic; and front-and-back-lit, which combines both front and back illumination for maximum impact.
How long does it take to manufacture and install my sign?
Most standard dimensional signage projects require between 2 to 4 weeks from final design approval through installation. However, complex, custom-fabricated, or illuminated signs may need slightly more time. We'll always provide you with a clear timeline during your initial consultation.
Can you design the artwork for my displays, or do I need to provide it?
We provide complete graphic design services! If you already have print-ready files, we're happy to work with those. However, if you need assistance designing an eye-catching A-frame, banner, or tent from the ground up, our team is prepared to bring your vision to life.
Are your A-frames and feather flags durable enough for outdoor use?
Yes, they are. Our outdoor displays are manufactured specifically to handle standard weather conditions. Our A-frames are constructed from heavy-duty materials with options to add weight to the base, and our feather flags are printed on durable, weather-resistant fabric.
How difficult is it to set up a pop-up tent or retractable banner?
Both are designed for simple, tool-free setup. Retractable banners pull up from their base and attach to an included support pole in just seconds. Our pop-up tents feature an accordion-style frame that expands and locks into position, typically requiring only one or two people and a few minutes for full assembly.
What file formats do you accept for printing?
We accept most commonly used formats, including: JPG, PNG, PDF, Adobe Illustrator, SVG, and vector files.
What resolution should my artwork be?
Higher resolution produces better overall quality. An image that appears clear at 8.5" x 11" can become very pixelated when enlarged to 8 feet. Because of this, we recommend photos or images with at least 300 DPI or high-resolution photos.
How do I know which material is right for my project?
We'll guide you through the process and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each product, along with our recommendations. Some materials are designed for interior use, while others may deteriorate over time when exposed to sunlight. We'll cover factors like required longevity, durability, and more.
Do you offer custom sizes, or do I have to choose a standard size?
Yes we will print to any dimension necessary and can cut any Substrate to specific shapes you would like for branding.
What color mode should I use for my designs?
Color is entirely personal and we will talk you through a range of options we have. Certain colors will stand out more while others are more subdued. In the end everything printed will go through the customer first for approval.
Are your outdoor materials waterproof and fade-resistant?
We do offer waterproof materials in Aluminum, Aluminum Composite Metal (ACM), PVC and coroplast. In regards to fading no material beats mother nature, however all exterior signs have UV protection and clearcoats to ensure they last as long as possible against the elements
