- FCFrank CNov 4, 20151.0Three weeks ago I attended a settlement with my sister in law. To my surprise the Buyer was not present for settlement. This seemed odd to me. Nevertheless the Title company agent proceeded to have my sister in law sign all the papers for the sale of her property. Later, I overheard the Title Company Agent tell my sister in law's Realtor that she did not have funding from the buyer! Now, its three weeks later and the buyer's still have not been funded. Moreover, everyone related to this transaction were caught lying about the buyer's qualification. I told my sister in law that she should seriously consider cancelling the sale. In any event, I suggested that she should consider protecting herself by retrieving the original signed documents because she signed over her title to the property. The title company was not helping her at all.
