  I love our Penn Valley post office! Everyone there is always friendly and helpful.

  I dropped off a package at the Penn Valley Post Office on March 13, 2026, and had it scanned by the front clerk. Tracking showed it as accepted, but the package never left the Penn Valley Post Office and completely disappeared. After about a week and a half, I went in to ask for help because USPS customer service kept telling me the package was still in possession of that post office and that I needed to deal directly with them. I was told they did not have it and to just give it time. The next week I asked for Sean, the postmaster, and was told he was not there. I left my number and never got a call back. The following week I finally spoke with Sean, gave him all the information, and he said he would look into it and get back to me. He never did. After more back and forth, a USPS customer service supervisor helped me file a claim online. Ironically, within minutes of filing the claim, Sean finally called, only to say he had no updates. Then USPS denied the claim in less than 24 hours. I filed an appeal and submitted invoices, customer information, tracking details, and proof of the sale, and that was denied too, saying I needed better proof of purchase. At this point, more than a month later, I am out the item, out the money, and still have no real answers. USPS accepted the package, lost it, and then would not stand behind the claim or insurance process in any meaningful way. I have since stopped using USPS for shipments and switched to UPS. I would rather pay more and deal with better service.

  Need to hire someone that can read and put the mail in the correct box. Mutiple times the person that delivers to the box at hilltop sucks. What a joke. Hope the person who got my item enjoys it

  This Post Office is always on top of it, generally friendly and overall have had good experiences working with these folks.

  Today, 2/3/2024, I received a notice they missed while I was out. I have been home all day, waiting for this document so I could sign it and return it today. It was mailed overnight! My mail carrier did not attempt to deliver my document. I am really annoyed! The carrier also delivers someone else's mail to my address at least 3 times a week.
