  I invest in private money loans. The borrower and owner selected First American Title to handle the escrow. To make a long story short, the sale did not go very smoothly, but it eventually closed. The bumps in the sale had nothing to do with First American Title. But, that said, I tried on several occassions to get some basic information from their office and they did not return my emails or my voicemails.

  The only game in town which is unfortunate. My experience was they are nice people - but generally overwhelmed - meaning terrible follow up and sloppy work -

  Just bought a house in Clearlake, CA even though I live in New Orleans and have never seen the house I bought. First American was absolutely wonderful, they truly know their stuff and treated me as if I was a person that mattered. It made all the difference. My mortgage company treated me like a wallet, give me, give me, give me. Won't be using them again but First American, I can highly recommend.
