  Very Disappointing Experience at Staples on El Toro I visited the Staples on El Toro today, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. There were several young employees working, but they seemed unfamiliar with the store and were unable to answer basic questions or locate merchandise. I was looking for a calculator that wasn’t displayed on the sales floor, so I asked if they could check the storage/merchandise area. To my surprise, the employees didn’t even seem to know where that area was. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a manager to arrive and retrieve the item. What should have been a simple purchase turned into a frustrating and, honestly, humiliating experience. I understand that employees need training, but customers shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes and rely on a manager to locate a basic item. This was my first experience like this at this location, but unfortunately, it will be my last. I won’t be returning to this Staples. It’s disappointing to see this level of customer service, and it makes me understand why people are choosing other stores. 1 star from me.

  Wow! Thank you to Anisa from the Staples Print Center. I came into the store about 20 minutes before closing time to print out registration documents for my kid's school the next day and still got EXCELLENT Customer Support and Care! FYI - don't be that person in the house that uses the last of the printer ink and doesn't tell anyone that the printer ink needs a replacement. Anisa understood and was truly helpful in my situation. She printed the document for me without any complaints. Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate it!

  This is a very well organized Staples. There is a nice selection of merchandise and great service from Sosina and Josh.

  I visited this Staples store to return two Amazon packages, and the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. There was a very long line, which I understand can happen. However, the process was extremely slow because customers had to unpack each item while the employee scanned everything one by one. When it was finally my turn, the employee seemed unsure how to process the returns. After everything was scanned, I asked for a receipt and was told I would receive it by email within 20 minutes. When I got home, I discovered that only one of my two returns had actually been processed. I had to drive back to the store, wait in the same long line for another 20 minutes, and then a manager had to be called to fix the issue. In total, this simple return took nearly two hours. It was a complete waste of my time, and I won’t be using this Staples location for Amazon returns again. My recommendation would be to provide better training for employees handling Amazon returns and to improve the return process overall. A faster, more reliable system would reduce wait times, prevent mistakes, and create a much better customer experience.

  I have been consistently visiting the Staples Print & Marketing Services department at the Lake Forest location on El Toro Road to handle printing needs for my business, The Music Lair, and I can honestly say that the service I have received has been outstanding. The entire team has always been friendly, respectful, and helpful, but recently I had the pleasure of working with Julia, and she truly stands out as an exceptional employee. From the moment I approach her for assistance, she makes me feel welcomed, valued, and completely taken care of. Julia is incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. She takes the time to understand exactly what I need, explains my printing options clearly, and offers excellent suggestions to ensure I make the best choices for my business. Her expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly impressive. What makes Julia even more remarkable is her ability to remain calm, positive, and professional—even when the store is busy and things get hectic. She brings an easygoing and friendly energy that makes every interaction enjoyable. Her great sense of humor and genuine personality make customers feel comfortable, almost like they are being helped by a trusted friend rather than simply completing a transaction. Every time Julia assists me, she goes above and beyond to make sure my printed materials are exactly what I envisioned. She has made the process of creating professional business materials much easier and less stressful, and I truly appreciate the care she puts into her work. Employees like Julia are the reason a store like Staples stands out from the competition. She represents what outstanding customer service should be: knowledgeable, dependable, kind, and genuinely invested in helping customers succeed. Staples is fortunate to have someone like Julia on their team. She is a true asset to the company, and I hope her hard work and dedication are recognized. If Julia were ever transferred to another Staples location in Orange County, I would gladly drive the extra distance just to receive the same level of exceptional service.
