I went to the FedEx office in Imperial to pick up an important package, only to be told that it had already been handed over to someone else two days earlier. They released my package to another person because the name was similar, even though the tracking number did not match. I never authorized anyone to pick it up on my behalf, and I never received it. This is extremely concerning and shows a serious lack of proper verification and accountability. A mistake like this is unacceptable, especially when handling valuable shipments. I have already filed a report regarding this incident, but the damage is done. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on this location.
- SLStephanie LamadridMar 13, 20261.0Our company paid for priority overnight for important documents to be delivered today (Friday) before noon. I've been keeping an eye on the tracking number all morning and it showed it was scheduled to arrive before 11:45am, and all of the sudden the delivery date was changed to Monday because the driver (Ivan) stated that the business was closed or there was nobody to receive the package, which is incorrect. All employees are here and not one single Fedex vehicle has entered our premisses today. They usually leave a note in the door if they attempted to deliver, and there was nothing. The picture the driver uploaded as proof of delivery attempt was a partial picture of the label only. Customer service was very friendly and tried calling the local office in Imperial Valley to have the driver deliver the package today, however no one was picking up the phone. Customer service submitted a request to have them deliver today, but they could not garantee it would happen.
