Came in today to send a friend a book. Older lady who has worked there forever was working the front. I honestly stopped coming here years before because of this lady. She's was just so rude in the past. She did not disappoint today. Bought a envelope and went to counter. I could tell she was in a bad mood as she scowled at me as i approached. She told me to fill out the addresses which I did but only put last name. She said I had to put full name and she yelled at (not exaggerating) that I had to put both forst and last name of return. Then I had to electronically sign all the stuff but when it came to the verification of what address she put in she just pushed to button quickly so I could check to make sure. Hopefully the book actually gets to where it's supposed to go. Hopefully this lady finds some happy soon or retires. Won't be back.

I'm in here pretty often and they actually make my experience enjoyable while I'm at the counter.

Today 04/02/24, I was dropping off a package and paying for shipping. Sonya was extremely unkind and condescending towards me. I accidentally hit a wrong button that said I had hazardous materials in my package. She said, "What are the hazardous materials? You just hit the button that said Yes." I said, "Oh I'm sorry, I meant to hit No." Sonya scoffed and said, "That's why it's important to read." I apologized again and explained, "I'm sorry, I have a newborn baby and I'm running off 3hrs of sleep." Sonya did not take this chance to apologize for her callused and nasty comment, but remained silent for the rest of the transaction. I proceeded to fight back tears until I left the post office, where I broke down sobbing in my car. I am a working mom, newly postpartum, and doing the best I can to get through a day. All I did was accidentally hit the wrong button because I was exhausted from my new baby's lack of sleep, and I was met with an incredibly rude and hurtful response for a simple, easy-to-fix mistake. It takes no effort to be kind and compassionate, and it saddens me that Sonya thinks it's acceptable to make nasty comments to people who simply hit a wrong button. Sonya, if you read this, I sincerely hope that you reconsider how you talk to people. You don't know what anyone is going through, and a nasty comment such as the one you gave me, can be the breaking point for someone who is already going through a lot in their personal life. It's genuinely not hard to be nice to those around you. I am disappointed that the Granite Bay Post Office, which is a place that so many community members go to regularly, chooses to employ such a heartless individual to interact with members of the community.

Several mailings were lost or stolen (dropped off package into interior box) over the course of 3 months. Older female counter person was rude and condescending. She could not even take a few minutes to search in the back (no other customers waiting at the time) for my package. Unfriendly, argumentative, with a chip on her shoulder and an antagonistic attitude. If you do not question her, you'll be ok.
