  5 starts for Dante, 1 star for everything else. Dante was super nice and helpful when printers stopped working, and made sure I was helped until I was able to print successfully. He has amazing customer service skills and seems like he is able to create a pleasant interaction despite limited resources and stressful conditions. The girl (probably the manager) was super impatient and rude, and lacked basic customer service skills. She would not even let me finish a sentence and just told me to go wait in line. Seems like she was not in a good mood, and seemed annoyed with customers and kept scolding employees. If not for Dante’s help, this would be a 1-star review

  Aliana and Gyro were awesome! I called in inquiring about some marketing material to be printed. Gyro gave me an email address with all the specifics and the images that I was requesting to be printed on a Foam TableTop signage. I received an email response from Aliana giving me the total and ETA. If I wanted to proceed, I was to give the say-so via email. By the evening, it was ready! I received a call from Aliana, and she gave me the store hours. My prints were exactly what we wanted. Thanks, Team FedEx Encinitas! Kudos to the people this morning at pickup. The General Manager checked me out and was super professional. She was awesome, along with the gentleman who was with her!

  Alaina saved the day!! Had a HUGE order go completely wrong in every imaginable way. The situation was a complete SNAFU, urgent and of the utmost sensitivity. Alaina could tell that something was wrong and immediately jumped in to problem solve. Her resolution changed everything, and I went from a zero to a hero thanks to her kindness, understanding, professionalism and execution. We need more people like Alaina in the Customer Service world. She is an exemplary employee and represents Fedex to the highest level. Fedex is lucky to have her on board. Thank you!!!🙏🏼

  FedEx has changed—and not for the better. Their new AI-driven phone system and overseas call center have created one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. In the past, I could speak directly with the local FedEx office serving my area and get answers quickly. Now, it’s nearly impossible to reach someone who can actually help. FedEx attempted to deliver a package three times. Each time, they left a notice at the gate without calling us to gain access and without including the tracking number on the delivery notice. The notices simply stated that delivery could not be completed. After navigating the AI phone system, I finally reached a live person (for anyone trying, pressing 8 repeatedly seems to help). I was told the local FedEx location was closed. I drove there anyway—it was open. When I spoke with an employee, he said he hears similar complaints all the time. He noted that the situation is especially problematic for hospitals and other critical deliveries when customers cannot reach a knowledgeable FedEx representative in the United States. Reliable communication and accountability are essential to running a business. Unfortunately, FedEx no longer provides the level of service my business requires. Goodbye, FedEx
