Came here around 10am today to get a passport application for my son and the lady helping me was honestly really rude and dismissive. I didn’t even feel like asking her any basic questions. The man working next to her was being very nice and helpful to everyone even making a passport for one person and handing out applications when a lady had asked him for them but, she seemed annoyed the second I came to the window.
I asked for an application for my son and asked if they had the consent form since his dad can’t be present. She turned to the man next to her and said, “Do we have it?” and then said, “I don’t know about consent, you have to print it online.” I had showed her the form from my phone that they should have and the man told her they actually did have the forms there and handed them to her. Then she said, “Oh, I have to make copies” and he told her, “No, we have them.”
After that she just tossed the papers through the window like the conversation was over and seemed very short the entire interaction. The whole experience felt dismissive and unwelcoming.
I understand people get busy, but being polite and helpful makes a big difference and there was hardly anyone there.
