I would not even give this store one star if I had another option. I was absolutely humiliated and embarrassed by the employees here today.
When I first walked in, two female employees were both on their cell phones. Neither acknowledged me until I said hello. Another customer walked in at the same time, and we were both told we needed to go back outside to access our shipping information because, despite the WiFi password being posted, we were told not to use it and instead “go outside for service.” The other customer and I even commented to each other about how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt, almost as though we were inconveniencing the employees simply by asking for help.
I proceeded with my shipment and was initially quoted one shipping price after clearly explaining the details of my package. Once everything was processed, I was then told the actual price was nearly double — $270. I completely understand that shipping prices themselves are not the employees’ fault, and I was polite when I explained that I would need to explore other shipping options due to the cost.
What I do not understand is the behavior that followed.
I asked if I could borrow the dolly because my two packages together weighed around 120 pounds. One employee gestured toward the back and told me to go get it myself. I did not feel comfortable walking behind the counter into their back office area, so instead I carried the first package out to my car manually.
When I walked back in for the second package, the same employee suddenly raised her voice at me and accused me of “throwing a fit” because I had supposedly asked her to do three things at once. I was completely shocked because I had not asked her to do anything beyond borrowing the dolly. She continued yelling at me, saying she did not need to help me at all.
I then reached for a business card on the counter and asked if the person listed was the manager. She pointed to a man — who was also on his cell phone — and confirmed he was. He had been standing there listening to the entire interaction and watching her yell at me without stepping in once.
When I asked to speak with him, his response felt extremely dismissive. While he was apologizing, the employee continued yelling over him, and he never once asked her to stop, step away, or behave professionally. I told him she should be apologizing for the way she treated me and making an effort to correct the situation. Her response was simply that she “would not apologize.”
At that point, I informed them I would no longer be doing business there, and the manager’s only response was, “I’m sorry to hear that.”
I am disgusted by the complete lack of professionalism, customer service, and accountability shown in this store. I will be escalating this experience to UPS corporate. I also attempted to file a complaint through the BBB, only to discover this location is not accredited and currently holds a C+ rating due to unanswered customer complaints.
Based on my experience, the Google reviews speak for themselves.
