I'd like to start with the fact that I sincerely dislike leaving one star reviews. However, if I could leave zero stars for this post office I would. On May 5th, the manager Rigoberto Bugarin, informs me that my PO Box has been closed and is now vacant. With no warning, they closed our PO Box that we have had for around 10 years. Im 38 weeks pregnant and have items coming for our little one. Needless to say, I am freaking out about this, how can they close off someone's way to get their mail with no warning. I ask about reopening it, to which he responds "the system randomly assigns a number " so I may not get my box again. I immediately go to the UPS store and purchase another PO Box and put in a change of address. When I go back to USPS and speak with the manager again, he tells me they will not forward my mail, instead they will vindictivly be returning all my mail. I can not express the stress that this manager and post master have put on our family, and without any warning. If you have any other choice, we strongly advise going elsewhere. The management at this location has total disregard for their customers. With this all being said, there are very kind employees that work at this location, such as JP and Marisha. The management, on the other hand, requires a total overhaul if there is to be any chance of Apple Valley residents being treated with the respect they deserve when dealing with their local post office.

The worst. Problem is manager or post master. When leadership is bad employees are empowered to do the same. I was told with no warning I was loosing my address. No warning. 12 years plus and was told no exception. That my mail was going to be sent back. You can't complain to consumer affairs in San Diego they just lie and double down. Unless you pay them but that they would still change my address. 12 plus years. It seemed they thought this was funny to have to make the change. I was told a crazy location was were they wanted me to put in a mail box. That they have a new carrier. Lie. They always had carriers that location was totally un secureable. I was told it's up to me to secure the location that's 4 plus miles from my house with nothing around. As if I could stand guard 24 7. Insane. They probably would just keep moving the location closer to them each time until it's right next door. They refuse to offer a service the post office advertise as ebox but laugh about having 200 plus empty boxes. As if people want to go in there constantly to get our mail 15 miles from home. They just refuse to do the basic of service or work. Ups, fed ex, dhl all deliver to my house but the post office is special and can't seem to. Apple valley deserves better. The postal service here is a joke and it's our new post masters goal is to make it an awful place to deal with. Photos of our secure location as stated by them.

A couple weeks ago, I absent mindedly left my mail key( which is attached to ALL of my keys) in my mailbox. So exhausted after a 60 hour work week, I didn't realize my mistake until my mail courier rang my doorbell and returned them to me! She even waited for me to come to the door despite her busy schedule. Of course I don't know her name, but she services the Desert Knowles area during the week. It's comforting knowing that you can rely on your mail courier when you're too exhausted to think straight!!
