  I had an absolutely terrible experience with World Market and will never purchase from them again. I spent approximately $2,500 on a matching patio furniture set. The problems started immediately when my delivery arrived late. When it finally showed up, it was missing parts. I contacted customer service to have the missing parts sent, but they shipped the wrong part. I then submitted a second request, only to be told that the correct replacement part “does not exist.” Since I specifically purchased multiple matching pieces, I requested that they replace the entire furniture piece instead. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, I have received no resolution and no meaningful follow-up. Every time I contact customer service, I have to explain my situation all over again because it doesn’t seem like anyone has documented my case. It feels like no one has taken my issue seriously. On top of that, customer service is outsourced, making it extremely difficult to speak with someone who has the authority to actually resolve the problem. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. After spending thousands of dollars, I expected much better treatment and support. Instead, I’ve been left with incomplete furniture and no resolution. I also believe this company deserves to be reported to the Better Business Bureau so other customers are aware of the poor service and lack of accountability. I would strongly discourage anyone from making a large purchase from World Market. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to make it right.

  This is a review for World Market corporate. I tried to buy a product at my local store. They would not sell it to me because it was a floor model. I went online to buy it, but it was going to cost more with shipping (and take more time). I called WM customer service to try and work out a deal. They would not give me free shipping to my house or local store. I didn’t buy the item. This is horrible customer service and a bad business model.
