  I went in on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn’t too crowded. Aminah helped me with a package that had been returned to me, and she was super friendly, patient, and helpful. She made the whole process easy and pleasant. Really appreciate her help and great customer service!

  Hello, I would like to share my concern regarding my recent experience with the employee working in the passport section in Shore Line Dr, Alameda, . Unfortunately, I found his behavior to be rude and unprofessional. We had an appointment scheduled for 11:00 AM, but when we arrived, the employee was on his lunch break. We had to wait until he returned, and when he assisted us, his attitude was not welcoming and made the experience unnecessarily unpleasant. I hope this feedback can be taken into consideration and that steps can be taken to ensure more professional and respectful service for future visitors. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  Model of government inefficiency. Only thing I can compare it to realistically is a koala exhibit I saw once at a zoo. This is how fast they seem to move and operate. I have had the misfortune to have to get in line (which frequently snakes out the door) weekly to pick up my mail. The mailboxes in our condo development keep getting broken into so our mail has now been held at this location for more than three months! Still no end in sight and no solution to the problem.

  Made a passport appointment at this office specifically because they offer passport photos. Booked it 3 weeks ahead of time. I looked everything up online and made sure our applications and supporting documents were good to go except for the photo that the post office would do. We were there early in the regular post office line because the passport door was locked and then were told to go to the passport door again and knock. I knocked for a while and then knocked louder. The guy came to the door and gruffly asked what time our appointment was, demanded to see the email confirmation, then ushered us inside. I was immediately put off by how rude he was. He told us the camera wasn’t working, and we have to go to Walgreens for photos during our appointment which upset me more because we had been waiting weeks for this appointment and would have come prepared with photos had we known that the camera at that office did not work. Not his fault but he was rude and uncaring that it inconvenienced us. If you sign up for an appointment slot and then the equipment breaks, why didn’t they send a follow up email to let us know? That’s government inefficiency. We went to the walgreens nearby and fortunately did not have to wait long and then the post office worker processed our passport applications. I felt like he was shaming me for being slow and unprepared because he was so impatient and brusque with me. My husband didn’t understand why I was so upset but nothing about the appointment met my expectations for basic courtesy or helpfulness. The appt was 5 weeks ago and I waited until we received our passports and supporting documents back in the mail before posting my review so nothing would “accidentally” go wrong.
