C'mon, it's a Post Office! What made it great was the effeciency, and friendliness, of the staff. Why make the visit painful!

Just be weary of mailing anything that you do not hand over directly to a USPS employee at the counter, because otherwise there is no guarantee it will be scanned or mailed out. Moreover, the scan is the only proof that you ever mailed anything at all, so if it is not scanned, then as far as they’re concerned, they never received it. This happened to me with a package I dropped off after hours last Wednesday directly into one of the outgoing mail slots in the Tempe Post Office lobby. Five days later, it is now Monday and the package has still not been scanned by the post office. At the counter, the worker refused to admit that USPS was accountable for this mail and implied that maybe I never even dropped it off, rather than acknowledging that they lost it. However, I have the $15 Waymo receipt from the trip I took explicitly to mail that package, and I am sure they have me on camera dropping it off. Why would I make that up? Moreover, I only went there because the last letter I tried to mail from the USPS outgoing mail slot at my residence was not picked up for over a week… The workers are nice and they seem to do their best, but USPS is not what it used to be and cannot operate on its currently inadequate income. It’s not the 70’s anymore and in the digital age expecting the USPS to be self-sustainable is unrealistic and problematic. Privatization is not the answer. Government funding and intervention is. Not a corporate takeover of our public mail delivery. *Note: If you want ensure that your vote is counted, maybe don’t mail in your ballot. I feel like our conservative government is actually being deliberately negligent for this express reason. Hard working, exhausted, low-income Americans may not be able to make it to the polls in person. What better way to make sure their liberal votes are not counted than to have them rely on a broken system? They also caused my health insurance to be temporarily cancelled when they inexplicably returned my official mail from DES—does this seem like a service we can rely upon to participate in our (vaguely) democratic republic’s elections? Again—not USPS’s fault—this is a government issue.

This is the VERY best post office in the entire USA with the clerk line managed by the amazing Chris and staffed by greats like Jenna, Pomi, Atwana, Pamela, and Perry. The lines move fast and are thus rarely long.

Good, easy to get to location with plenty of parking (though I bet it would get crowded during the holiday season). They offer passport services and they are fast at doing it.
