  I genuinely cannot remember the last time I experienced customer service this rude. My husband and I came in together to make two Amazon returns, and from the moment we walked in, we felt like we were an inconvenience simply for being there. We were immediately greeted by an employee with prison-looking tattoos (sorry this is the only way I know how to describe it and she didn’t have her name anywhere in the store-I guess this means you can treat people poorly when you don’t have a name), an unfriendly tone, and mean demeanor. My husband’s return was in a box that needed to be taped closed (Amazon said to include the original box), and she looked at it and told him, “You know you’re going to need to tape that.” There was no offer to help or even an explanation of what we needed to do. We ended up on the floor trying to tape the box ourselves. While we were doing that, another customer came in needing a notary. After helping him, the employee looked at another employee, Kevin, and said something along the lines of, “Do you want to help those people? I’m assuming you don’t want to.” He said no, and we were left there struggling with the return. Being referred to as “those people” while standing right there and hearing employees openly discuss whether either of them wanted to help us was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. Eventually, Kevin did come over to process my husband’s return. My husband was charged for the tape, the label was put on, and he was handed his receipt. By this point there was a line of customers, and the interaction suddenly ended with a polite “have a great day.” We were so uncomfortable with the entire experience that we decided not to even attempt my Amazon return and left. As we walked away, Kevin visibly scoffed/made a face when we did not respond to his goodbye, which was a strange ending to an already unpleasant interaction. What really confirmed how unnecessary this experience was happened immediately afterward. We drove to a different UPS Store near Shea and the 101 to complete my return. The difference was night and day. The employee greeted us normally, helped me figure out how to provide the return label, told me I could simply screenshot it, measured the item, found the appropriate box, and told me she would take care of boxing and taping everything. She handed me my receipt and wished us a good day. Nothing extraordinary…just normal, courteous customer service. That second interaction made it even clearer how poorly we were treated at this location. We weren’t asking for special treatment. We just wanted to complete two Amazon returns without being made to feel like employees were annoyed that we walked through the door. We will not return to this location. I would much rather drive farther to the Shea/101 store where customers are treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. *Edit: nice AI response from the owner (couldn’t even take the time to take out the em dash). I was judged by the employee the second I walked through the door, so it’s ironic that I judge her tattoos and I am attacked by a so-called business owner…So disappointing that the response I was given by the store tried to attack my character instead of addressing the actual issue of running a terrible store. Calling me a liar (along with anyone else who has given a 1 star review)? What do I have to lie about when there are many different UPS stores I can go to. I gave a description of the worker since she didn’t have her name displayed anywhere in the store. Nice try to turn this on the customer. What a disgraceful business you manage and what gross behavior you show your customers. No wonder your employees behave the way they do…

  Kevin and the tattooed lady working on the weekends look annoyed to have anyone come in and refuse to help customers with their packages.

  This is my go to UPS Store. Very friendly and helpful atmosphere. Employees greet people on their way in.
