- EEEmilyMay 23, 20261.0I came in with my mom’s death certificate, the proof of me as her sole executor On her will and my six month old son in my arms the woman had absolutely no empathy when I told her the reason for my visit was to verifying address change. Then she was very rude and unhelpful and unkind and I sincerely hope I never have to work with this USPS again and I wasn’t able to update my mom‘s address which the only thing that was an issue with that was that her landlord asked me to change her address because he was tired of getting her junk mail and it wasn’t that she was unable to help me with the documentation I had. She literally told me to go back and we did in line for her colleague because she didn’t want to deal with my situation. It was far too complicated again not that she didn’t know how to do it, but that she didn’t want to and she wasn’t in some sort of expeditious line reserved for simple matters. She just didn’t want to deal with helping me even though I was respectful and had everything I needed to complete the request I sincerely hope they consider training her in some basic customer service empathy, and not not refusing to assist a customer who has everything they need for a request.

I had 12 certified mailings to send and had never done that before, but she was patient with me and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly. She even let me take photos of each one after completing them. Such a blessing when people take the time to help like that.
